The study snail

It reads while you study. It never gets sad.

Margin Study keeps a small snail on its page. You build it in Settings from drawn parts: two colors, a pattern, and a hat or scarf if you like. All of it is free. Try one here.

Dress one

A snail drawn in ink, with a cream shell and red bands, resting beside a closed book.
A vellum snail.

The builder needs JavaScript. This is the plain snail.

Nothing you pick here is saved, and there is no name to give. The snail lives in this page's address, after the #, so a link carries it.

What it does

Three states. No score.

It doesn't go hungry or get sick, and it doesn't count what you skipped. If its breathing and blinking distract you, the Keep still setting stops them, and your device's reduce-motion setting always wins.

Yours, in Margin

On the Study page. In your browser.

In Margin, the snail sits on the Margin Study page. Dress it in Settings, under Margin Study, and give it a name, which stays in your browser. Save a picture of it whenever you want: a small picture on cream, with Margin's wordmark in the corner and no name on it.

Add Margin to Chrome (opens in a new tab)

A free extension, on the Chrome Web Store. The snail, and everything it wears, is free.
